Nankang SV-1 is a top-quality non-studded winter tyre for Nordic conditions. In the development of the SV-1 tyre, special emphasis has been placed on excellent traction on ice, snow and slush, but the tyre works extremely well also on the wet and cold asphalt of the Nordic autumn and spring.
Nankang SV-1 has done outstandingly well in Finnish tyre tests. In a remarkably extensive tyre test conducted for the Finnish Transport Safety Agency Trafi by the world-famous Finnish winter tyre testing centre Test World in 2013, SV-1 was ranked brilliantly tenth. Out of all the 88 non-studded winter tyres tested, every tyre that scored higher points than Nankang was considerably more expensive; moreover, Nankang beat a great number of well-known, high-priced winter tyres and clearly offered the best value for money.

Having been selected as one of the tyres reviewed in a tyre test conducted by the Finnish magazine "Tekniikan maailma" ("Engineering World"), Nankang SV-1 impressed the testing crew by coming in fifth out of the nine high-quality Nordic non-studded winter tyres tested and beating, almost sensationally, for example, Goodyear and Bridgestone! SV-1 generated the smallest amount of tyre noise, showed the best performance on slush and was among the best non-studded tyres as for braking traction on ice. The tyres which scored higher points were considerably more expensive; nevertheless, Nankang was a worthy rival to them.
