The Nankang SW-8 achieves its excellent ice grip by using up to 70% more studs than a normal studded tire. The law allows the use of 50 studs per meter of the tire's tread, but Nankang has been able to optimize the studding with the help of top Finnish experts so that it offers top grip without damaging the asphalt more than a normal tire. This has given Nankang special permission to use 70% more studs to bring you even better grip.

The Nankang SW-8 tire uses top-class Tikka studs made in Finland to guarantee the best grip. To achieve an optimal result, the studding is done immediately after manufacturing at the factory with the best Finnish A-technology studding robots.
